The new guy in the office who still calls the boss 'Sir/Ma'am' every sentence. The fresh grad on their first day, looking lost. In online games, this is the 'noob.' You were once a bagito, I was once a bagito, we were all bagitos at some point. It's a rite of passage.
Possibly from Spanish "vaguido" (dizziness), but its modern meaning is heavily influenced by the Tagalog "bago" (new). Some also link it to "bagong tao" (new person).
Can be used as a noun ('He is a newbie') or an adjective ('He is new to this'). Often used in a teasing but not necessarily malicious way.
