The classic "snitch" move. From the playground ("Teacher, si Pedro po!") to the office ("Ma'am, si Anna laging late!"). When you ipagsumbong someone, you're basically telling on them. The more "adult" version is "I-e-escalate kita sa HR." The ultimate threat? "Ipapablotter kita!" or "I-Tu-Tulfo kita!"

Often has a negative connotation of tattling, especially in informal contexts. However, it can also be used for formally reporting a wrongdoing to an authority figure. The person being told on is the object of the verb.
