That jiggly, brownish-orange kakanin you buy from a street vendor, usually paired with puto. It's not a party without kutsinta, and the real challenge is getting the perfect amount of freshly grated coconut on top without making a mess. It's the less famous but equally delicious cousin of puto.
From Hokkien Chinese 粿仔 (kué-á), meaning "small cake".
