FIL: Nagtataglay ng maraming hindi kinakailangang salita o detalye; hindi direkta sa punto; paligoy-ligoy.
EN: roundabout; verbose; circuitous
This describes someone who won't get straight to the point. It's your officemate who takes 20 minutes to ask a simple question, or a politician answering with everything but a 'yes' or 'no'. In a hugot context, it's when you ask 'Ano ba tayo?' and the answer you get is full of 'basta masaya tayo 'di ba?'—that's pure ligoy.
Often used with 'paligoy-ligoy' for emphasis.

🇵🇭 Naiinis ako sa mga sagot niyang punô ng ligoy.
🇺🇸 I get annoyed with his answers that are full of verbiage.
🇵🇭 Huwag ka nang magpaligoy-ligoy pa, sabihin mo na ang totoo.
🇺🇸 Don't be roundabout anymore, just tell the truth.
