FIL: Ang kabuuang bilang na 500, na binubuo ng 'limang' (lima na may pang-angkop) at 'daan' (sandaan).
EN: five hundred
The OG 500. The blue bill with Ninoy and Cory Aquino. It's what you give the cashier for your ₱120 milk tea and wait for the change. It's the modern, everyday way to say 500. Not to be confused with 'limandaan', which is its more formal tito.
From 'limang' (five) + 'daan' (hundred).
This is the most common way to say 'five hundred' in Tagalog. 'Limandaan' is a more contracted, slightly more formal version.
🇵🇭 May sukli ka pa sa limang-daan mo.
🇺🇸 You still have change from your five hundred.
🇵🇭 Kailangan ko ng limang-daan para sa bayarin.
🇺🇸 I need five hundred for the payment.
