This is the more formal, almost poetic way to say "eat breakfast." You'd probably hear your lola say this more than your barkada. While everyone else says "kain na tayo ng breakfast" or "mag-agahan tayo," using 'mag-amusal' is like wearing a barong to a casual brunch. Classy, but a bit extra.
From "almusal", which is a corruption of the Spanish "almorzar" (to have lunch), but shifted in meaning to breakfast in Filipino.
A more formal or literary synonym for "mag-agahan". "Almusal" is the noun, "mag-amusal" is the verb.
