EN: good morning
The OG Filipino greeting. The first thing you hear from the security guard, your BPO team lead, and the TV news anchor. It's the Pinoy version of coffee—you can't start your day without it. Replying with "umaga lang, walang maganda" is the official hugot response for people who haven't had their coffee yet.
Standard greeting from sunrise until noon. Often followed by "po" or "ho" for respect.
🇺🇸 Good morning," the student greeted his teacher.
🇺🇸 A cheerful "Good morning!" was her greeting to us.
