This is the less common, slightly more formal cousin of 'nakakahawa'. It's what your doctor might say about the flu. But culturally, we also use 'nakakahawa' for non-illnesses. A yawn can be 'nakakahawa'. A good mood can be 'nakakahawa'. 'Nakahaway' is usually just for the medical stuff.
