This is the classic Filipino way of saying 'coming up' into a house. When your friend shouts 'Tao po!' from downstairs, you shout back 'Panik!' It's the opposite of arriving by Grab; it's arriving on foot and literally ascending into someone's living room. Often associated with courtship (`paninilbihan` or `pag-akyat ng ligaw`).

Often used in the context of entering a house, which is traditionally elevated. `Tuloy po kayo at magsipanhik` means 'Please come in and come up.'
