FIL: Isang sangay o departamento ng isang unibersidad o kolehiyo na nakatuon sa isang partikular na larangan ng pag-aaral. Karaniwang pagbaybay: 'fakultad'.
EN: faculty; college department
This is the old-school or conyo way of saying 'college' or 'department' inside a university, from the Spanish 'facultad'. 'Saan ka nag-aaral?' 'Sa pakultad ng Sining at Panitikan.' Sounds more 'alta' than just saying 'sa CAS'.
From Spanish 'facultad' (faculty, ability, power).
'Fakultad' is the more common and academically accepted spelling, borrowed from Spanish. 'Pakultad' is a phonetic, less common variant.
