FIL: Isang pagkilos o anyo na hindi totoo; pagkukunwari. Isang mas lumang anyo ng 'pakunwari'.
EN: pretendedly; feignedly
The OG version of 'pakunwari'. It's the act of pretending. Like 'pakunwang tulog' (pretending to be asleep) when your mom comes in to tell you to do chores. It's the foundation of all childhood 'bahay-bahayan' games.
'Pakunwari' is far more common in modern usage. 'Pakunwa' might be encountered in older texts or literature.
🇵🇭 Isang pakunwa lamang ang kanyang pag-iyak.
🇺🇸 His crying was only pretended.
🇵🇭 Nagbigay siya ng pakunwang ngiti.
🇺🇸 She gave a feigned smile.
