FIL: Ang paghila sa tainga bilang paraan ng pagpaparusa o pagbibiro.
EN: to pull the ear
A classic Pinoy disciplinary action, second only to the dreaded `tsinelas`. Your nanay or lola would `pingol` you for being naughty. It's that sharp, twisting pull on the ear that instantly makes you regret what you just did. A variation of the more common `pingot`.
Synonymous with `pingot`. The verb form is `pingulin`.
🇵🇭 Huwag kang malikot diyan at baka kita pingulin.
🇺🇸 Don't be rowdy there or I might pull your ear.
🇵🇭 Napangiwi siya sa sakit nang pingulin siya ng kanyang ina.
🇺🇸 He winced in pain when his mother pulled his ear.
