FIL: Ang kabuuan ng lahat ng nilikha; ang buong daigdig o uniberso.
EN: the entire universe
This is `sanlibutan`'s even more epic, cosmic older sibling. If `sanlibutan` is the world, `sansinukuban` is the entire universe, all known and unknown dimensions included. It has a mystical, ancient vibe. You use this when you're talking about something of truly immense, mind-boggling scale. It's the word you use when "buong mundo" just doesn't cut it. Think of it as the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but in one Tagalog word.
From `isa` (one) + `-ng` + `sinukob` (that which is covered or encompassed). 'Sinukob' is from the root `sukob` (to share cover). Thus, "all that is under one cover."
ROOT MEANING: sharing a shelter (esp. an umbrella)
Highly literary and poetic. More encompassing than `sanlibutan`.
