The fruit that's a workout to eat. You peel the thick skin, then suck on the fluffy, sweet-sour pulp around the seeds until your jaw gets tired. Also famous for being the main ingredient in Sinigang na Santol. Don't ever swallow the seed, or you'll be the subject of a medical drama episode.
From Malay 'sentul' or 'setul'.
The scientific name is *Sandoricum koetjape*. Swallowing the large seed is dangerous and can cause intestinal obstruction.
