The OG Filipino way of saying 'get out of my way' before 'excuse me, po' became mainstream. It's what you shout when you're carrying something heavy and someone's blocking the path. It's abrupt, a bit rude, but very effective. Use with caution in the office.
From 'tabi' (side), as in 'move to the side'.
Can be considered rude depending on tone and context. A more polite version is 'Padaan po' or 'Makikiraan po.' The phrase 'Tabi-tabi po' is a respectful variant used to ask unseen spirits to move aside.
