This is basically just guesswork or making assumptions. It's the stuff that fuels all the chismis in the barangay. "Ayon sa wari-wari ni Marites..." means "According to the speculations of Marites..." It's thinking without proof, just pure vibes and assumptions.
Reduplication of "wari" (it seems, assessment).
Often used to describe unconfirmed thoughts or gossip. Less common than 'haka-haka'.
